New partnerships create new opportunities for the development of the Ukrainian business sector to learn from Silicon Valley experts. Berkeley Summer at Promprylad is the first such program from Berkeley University in Ukraine, designed and led by the Fisher Center for Business Analytics and the Institute for Business Innovation at the Haas School of Business.
Over the three months, participants will improve their entrepreneurial skills, and learn product prototyping, design thinking, business analysis, pitching techniques, and other topics relevant to business owners and those who are just planning to start their own businesses.
«As part of a leading public university, our goal is to run research, educate students and professionals, and promote global awareness on key topics.
That’s why we are engaged with Promprylad in this Berkeley Summer Program, which will support the development of a vibrant community of talented entrepreneurs,» said Gauthier Vasseur, Executive Director of the Fisher Center for Business Analytics.
«The main focus of the Promprylad Foundation now is to support Ukrainian entrepreneurs and create opportunities for talents, here and now. Over the past year, we have managed to engage more than 10,000 participants in events and programs from all over the country.
This year, we plan to significantly scale our impact by attracting world-class expertise. That is why the partnership with the University of California, Berkeley is especially valuable to us, as it shows that international experts are ready to join the training of Ukrainian entrepreneurs, even during the war,» says Lyudmyla Kryzhanovska, Director of Promprylad Foundation.
Entrepreneurs from affected communities and veterans, women entrepreneurs, and students with a developed business idea with an innovative component can receive one of 30 grants covering the full cost of the program.
