The First Lady of Ukraine visited the Promprylad.Renovation innovation center

During the visit, Olena Zelenska met with the Promprylad team and talked to the residents of the innovation center. “Both local residents and IDPs have found work and self-realization here; they work, create, meet, and spend time here. By changing itself, the space changes the whole city, and even on a national scale, this rethinking of the plant is a unique example,” 一 said Olena Zelenska.

The First Lady visited the Parasolka Makerspace, bringing engineers, designers, scientists, makers, and artists together to create prototypes and new products. She had a special meeting with the residents of the 3D printing studio, who are developing prosthetics. She talked to the founder of the women’s clothing brand FRAMIORE, Natalia Naida, whose team has been meeting the needs of the military since the beginning of the full-scale war: they produce sleeping bags, fireproof uniforms for tactical and army aviation and adaptive clothing for wounded soldiers.

Artists Vitaliy Grekh and Yarema Stetsyk spoke inspiringly about art and its importance in highlighting Ukrainian realities. And the residents of the Roboclub shared with the First Lady the successes of young 2D designers and programmers.

The First Lady also visited the office of the Investment Policy Department of the Ivano-Frankivsk City Council. She talked to its director, Ihor Popadyuk, about creating a balance in the triangle – business, administration, civil society, and the experience of practical cooperation with the Promprylad team.

Olena Zelenska also visited the city reading room “Chytai,” created by the Teple Misto platform. The delegation noted the unique atmosphere of the space, its content with quality literature, and the importance of the location for the city and guests in promoting reading.

Together with the project’s CEO, Yuriy Fylyuk, and Director of the Promprylad Foundation, Liudmyla Kryzhanovska, the First Lady learned about the possibility of replicating the experience of the Promprylad Innovation Center at other post-industrial sites.

“There is a term ‘inclusive economy,” and Promprylad.Renovation is just such an example – when the old is filled with new meaning and comes to life, the destroyed is rebuilt even better, the interests of all are considered and combined, and development is accessible to all. This is one of the principles by which the whole country should be rebuilt,” said Olena Zelenska.

The Promprylad team is grateful for the trust shown by the First Lady’s. For us, it is important to continue to contribute to positive changes not only in the city but also in the country.
