«Creating a Book» Conversation with Author Yulita Ran

We invite parents and children to a meeting with the author of over thirty children's and young adult books, Yulita Ran, as part of our «Creating a Book» event series.

We will talk about the «Mavka Verbychka» book series. These are thrilling adventures of a young mavka who, together with her friends — the werewolf Liupko and the khukha Kartatyk — protects her native forest from ancient enemies and dark magic. In the first book, the forest falls under threat from fierce dog-headed creatures from old legends. In the second, someone suddenly plunges people into their greatest fears, and Verbychka and her friends cannot stand aside. Two books, two battles, an abundance of magic — and incredible illustrations by Iva Mykhailyan on every page.
