The Word Starting with «F»: a conversation with Iryna Slavinska and Olya Novak about feminism
Ivano-Frankivsk hosts a conversation about feminism based on Iryna Slavinska's book «The Word Starting with "F". A Basic Book About Women's Rights». The event will take place on June 20 at 16:00 at the «Sens» bookstore (23 Ukrainskoi Peremohy Street).
🎙 Participants of the conversation: Iryna Slavinska — journalist, translator, host, and producer of «Radio Kultura».
Olya Novak — poet, public activist, founder of the «Girls Create» initiative, host of the «Sylna» podcast.
They will discuss: — what feminism really is and why there are so many myths surrounding it; — what the history of Ukrainian and global feminism looks like — with examples and context; — how simple everyday actions can make the world more friendly toward women.
This event is for those who are just getting acquainted with the topic, and for those who have long been involved but want to look at it from a new perspective.
